It is time once again for a special request post, this time from my lovely and talented sister-in-law Briget who linked me a while back on her Tumblr with the following comment/semi-request/musing:
I feel like there should be a special post of his closet of board games, because it is amazing.
Well here it is! I have… a good number of games. Compared to the average person, I have an enormous number, but compared to the average BGG user, my 250 or so titles is probably a bit low. My games live on four bookshelves in a walk-in closet in our guest/gaming/art room. The shelves themselves are cheap but sturdy Target-ware.
I have everything organized by publisher with three shelves for board and card games and one for RPGs, and on top of one of the shelves you can see some of my wife”s puzzles. There are also some SUPER nerdy posters up on the walls (recognize any of them?)
On one of the shelves you”ll notice an empty spot (where Stone Age [review coming soon!] goes): I try to lend out games to friends whenever they ask. Lending games is a great way to get people excited. They in turn buy games and more money enters the industry, encouraging publishers to come out with even more great games! If you are the game buyer in your group, make sure you lend some out too. Your friends will find something they’ll want to pick up as well.
